Nick, Fred, and I announced back in January that our little trio would henceforth be known as The Town Council. You can read all about it HERE. We didn't know it at the time, but this year would turn out to be our farewell tour. Over the past few months, we've decided to put the band behind us. We had a good run (eighteen years worth, if you go back as far as the Bluescasters), but now it's time to call it a day.

Of course, we expect there will be the odd afternoon over tea and biscuits where we dust off the instruments and have a go at a few songs in Fred's living room. There will still be space in our lives for making a little music, but after one final appearance this September 29th at Mocha Maya's, we're done with public life, as it were.

Our deepest thanks go to all of you who attended all our shows, bought the records we played on together, and cheered us on the whole way. And very special thanks as well to the venues we played, and the many great acts we shared the stage with through all these years.
